Hi Everyone

Monday August 16th 2010 is the day i was waiting for in anticipation that i thought would never arrive but it finally came.

My full and final settlement meeting was today, and it was accepted.
The paperwork to confirm the meeting outcome is in the post to me.

I would like to thank my parents for their genorosity, without them i would have had to maintain my IVA payments for another 3 years.

I get paid this Friday but it will be strange as the money that was previously being paid to my IVA company will now be mine. My IVA company advised me to cancel my direct debit to them today which i have done.

At first its going to be strange having all this extra money each month but i'm not going to go crazy, will definately go on a holiday.

I have 45 days to make the full and final payment but haven't paid it yet but i know its going to be sorted end of this month/early Sept.

My IVA started back in 2008, its been a tough journey ive had to make sacrifices along the way, at one stage i was 2 payments in arrears!!. But all of that no longer matters i would like to thank everyone involved on this forum for keeping me going and keeping me strong. Your support has helped me to get through this thank you all.

The IVA has taught me a lifelong skill of money management. Anyone who is currently in an IVA or is about to enter one there is light at the end of the tunnel!! I wish you all the best of luck.

And in closing i met my girlfriend back in Oct 2009, and shes the one for me!! now i can afford to buy her an engagement ring and we can make plans for the future. I want to thank her too shes kept me going and she loves regardless of how much money i have had.

Now that i'm at the end of my journey you guys arent going to get rid of me that easily i'll still be around looking at the forum, and will probably have a few questions to post once i get my completion certificate.

kind regards

Kool_73
