Thanks Skippy - to be honest It is just the inconvenience of not having my licence which grates me but if I stay in the clear it is only a year and the medicine I have been prescribed should do the job.

Fingers crossed that it is sorted in 12 months. Is it still the same that you have to go for 12 months without a waking fit?

Thought it might be. The medication should help though and hopefully in 12 months time you will get your licence back.

Hi ray

Sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with epilepsy but I am sure you will be fine. A good friend of mine at work has epilepsy once they found the right medication for her she got her license back and as you say you get a free freedom pass which you can use at ANY time of the day which is great.

Just for your awareness also you can get a disabled railcard if you are epileptic for £14 a year and it reduces train fares outside of your freedom pass considerably so something you can look into if you ever travel by train to further destinations. Believe it covers you and one other the discount also, every little helps
