Hi,

My lum sum IVA is complete. I still have one bank account with the bank i had debt with and one account with bank i dont owe anything which i use mostly.

My question as my IVA is now complete , Can i use the bank account of the bank which i owed money before without the fear of they can withdraw money to settle debt?

Many thanks in advance

In theory yes as you have cleared the iva ..have you got your completion certificate ? If not I may be tempted to wait until then so that you have the evidence to show it is cleared - but remember it is in the small print that banks can close accounts at anytime.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes I have got the certificate and can produce as evidence.

Its just I want to start using that account and dnt want money to disappear.

If they close account ever, I should get the amount in the account back.

I would suggest using the account for a few small things for a while and see how it goes.
