I paid my last payment to my iva nearly two years ago ,I believe I should have had a certificate to prove this. I have tried to apply for a regular bank account and have been declined. CAN YOU ADVISE PLEASE
did you receive any letters from your IP a few months after you had made your last payment? its called a completion certificate but its just a letter which states ' you have now completed your arrangement we have no more interest into your affairs'' or something along those lines, i had it for a few hours before i even realised that it was the completion certificate.
if not you could always go back to your IP and query it with them
IVA Started 07/07/2017
F & F Accepted 06/09/2019
Completion Certificate 16/12/2019
Have you checked your credit records to see if they are clear of any defaults?
Which bank have you applied to?
As Marty has said - it is only a letter, not a certificate.

Some banks will turn you down anyway (but very few). It might be an idea to actually check your credit reference files and get them amended if there are any errors. Also check the Insolvency Register here: https://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/eiir/ to make sure that your IVA has been closed down correctly.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
If you can't find your completion letter I would speak to your company and ask for a copy. I don't recommend trying either First Direct or HSBC. They don't like anything to do with IVA.
