Make sure all credit records are clear first.

Has it been at least 6 years from the start of his IVA and have his credit files cleared up ? Some banks are more 'difficult' than others : Avoid HSBC and First Direct.

Co-Op gave me a full account when my credit file cleared at the 6 year mark.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
