Should I be in an Iva then once agreed amount by my creditors can my Barclays bank account deduct any other money from my joint account. I would have two barclaycards in debt and in my name only and no other debts to the bank. I am the only debtor, my wife gas no debts at all.

They are not supposed to --- but, it has been known for banks to make a grab of funds immediately prior to IVA approval, which is why we advise moving accounts and funds to a non-creditor bank before the IVA starts (asap, really). It is also easier to get accepted for the new account while your credit files do not contain reference to an IVA.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

We had (and still do) a joint Barclays account and Barclaycard were included in the IVA. We had no problem with our bank account.
