Can you let me know if Barclays Bank is connnected to Barclaycard. I need to open a new bank account and was thinking about Barclays but one of my creditors is Barclaycard. I was advised that they are not connected but I'm no so sure.

To be safe you should go to another bank. While it is unlikely they could claim setoff they could close your account and tell you to go elsewhere.

Barclays and Barclaycard are connected.

Try the Co-op, they come highly recommended on here.
