Sorry for the many questions!

As part of this contract I've just got, the recruitment agency are asking me to complete a Basic Disclosure on mygov.scot. Does anyone know if my IVA will show up on that?

Cheers
A

I have no idea on that - you could have a quick run through of the forms on the net and see if it mentions it.

A basic(or "standard") disclosure is a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service to see if you have a criminal record. There is also an "enhanced" disclosure which is mandatory for people working with children and vulnerable adults. Known generally as a DBS they replace the old CRB check.
Definitive info here

It has nothing to do with your financial standing which is investigated by a credit check. Some employers ask for this if you work in the financial sector and others despite there being no researched evidence that people with poor credit records are likely to commit crime.

Be wary of any employer asking you to pay for the cost of the DBS.

Hope this is helpful.
