Hi,
I started an iva in 2018. I settled this within a year as i found i was misold the iva.
I have found that my best chances of getting a mortgage would be to wait until it has been settled for 3 years.
My main question is what kind of interest rates am i looking at. Or if it is possible to even get a mortgage. I feel like i settled my iva but an still in a prison. People are moving on with there lives and i feel like i have been out a step back having being misold the iva.
I need a mortgage and thats my priority. I just need the best help obtaining one.

Have a word with either Ryan or Shaun the resident mortgage experts on here. Your IVA will show on your record for six years from the start, regardless of the fact that it failed.

Even if ended early the IVA will mar your credit record for 6 years from the start. There is no hard and fast 'rule' as to when and if you can get a mortgage, all lenders differ in their attitudes and are also not consistant over time.

I would strongly suggest a chat to a whole of market broker with experience of adverse credit. We have two experts who post here regularly, Shaun and Ryan, both of whom have helped many ex-IVA'ers get reasonable mortgages.

Their details can be found on their profile pages here:

Also, have a re-read of a previous post of yours on the same subject --- most of it will still apply: will-iva-still-stay-on-my-file-even-if- ... yrs-t84697
