It was the Hotel Carter in New York. The only thing it had going for it was the fact that it was about 100 yards from Times Square!

I'll probably be on here writing about my hotel end of November but so long as the sun is shining I'll actually be happy. I had a lovely hotel in Majorca once but it rained and boy was I a miserable woman! x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
Hubby's Scooter problems which he bought with his redundancy money 18 months ago took most of their money for the month for repairs and they resorted to living out the freezer and being resourceful when her boss brought in lots of veg etc., by freezing this and living healthily!
Made other changes as in where they shopped etc., too. I feel this blog shows how resourceful we can be within an IVA and hopefully Pandy's contingency fund can be built up again soon and this month put behind her as she does mention it's the first time in a while they've had no money.
Enjoy your vouchers....buy yourselves a little treat maybe?
Regards

Wow only just read this , thank you Andy it is a nice suprize,
We are still trying and get though this month until 30th when I get paid again, and I am expecting to have some very stange meals next week as we get to everything in the freezer that doesn't really go with anything else. [:D][:D]. Think I will draw the line and choc ice and chips though [:D].
Hubby's bike ended up costing us £253. + £12 taxi fares to get him home and then back again to pick it up when it was repaired.
I swear at it everytime I walk into the garage and see it. [:D]
The one good thing is that we have managed to get though all this and I still have £1.45 in the bank. [:)][:)]
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine
That always sounds one of the most disgusting things on the planet and makes me feel sick just to think about it!

Although I personally couldn't eat it, my hubby has always wanted to. They were selling them once in a chippy in Hunstanton and he waited outside with dog and asked me to get him one...I told him they didn't have any but really I hadn't asked!

Well done Pandy from a newbie. I've actually set up a blog too after reading loads of your stories. Though I must have missed yours. I understand what you mean about the freezer though, my prob is buyign things that don't go with anything LOL, though I must admit a salad is pretty versatile
Cakie's first post but hopefully not her last, summed up how she got into debt and with her IVA which she has just started the third month of. Cakie is now facing redundancy and using this as a positive to change her life totally.
A very positive attitude towards her IVA even though her lifestyle has had to change to live frugally. Cakie admits to being addicted to magazines, an addiction not quite broken yet so hopefully with her voucher she'll be able to enjoy a couple of magazines from the forum.
