I hate working sundays with a passion!!

So far ive worked 4 this year, earned myself an extra £300 which £150 has gone into the pot so to speak, another 4 sundays lined up before end of june and also a sunday night shift so i can move all the fruit round just to confuse the customers, lol!

But i hate them, have to argue with customers at 5pm "no you can't come in and shop were closed!!" argue with then at half 10 "no we don't open till 11, its just browsing" i firmly believe everywhere should be shut on sunday!!

So while im working, earning some pennies so i can have a holiday where the girlfriend doesn't moan at me because we are in a tent again, whats everyone else doing??

I don't work Sundays, but am on call regularly, so can't go out and have a drink!

I was called out on Christmas Eve once - that wasn't good!

Today we have my parents coming for lunch. Other than that it will be a relaxing day.

I sympathise antm - But Sundays are like any other day of the week nowadays with most places open for business, it wasn't like that when I was a kid !! You could always go and live up in the Outer Hebrides to places like North Uist or the Isle of Lewis where everything shuts down for the day on Sunday - in fact, it is frowned upon to hang your washing out on Sundays up there - I used to work in Lewis and wasn't allowed to work on Sundays - True!!

Must admit that it wouldn't bother me working Sundays again. As an ex police officer I got used to it and I loved having days off in the week.

I used to work Sundays in a previous job and have days off in the week and enjoyed that shift too.

I don't work any weekends now only Monday - Friday and I finish at 12.30pm on a Friday and don't return to work until 1pm on a Monday so it's like a long weekend every weekend for me for now x

Sunday afternoon multi-tasking for me.
Having to watch Liverpool match on laptop via the internet and the Chelsea game on Sky Sports....oh and drink tea at the same time [:D]

I've been gardening, and then I did some time on the Wii Fit, and now I'm watching Chelsea against Stoke - come on Stoke, you can do it!

But I'd much rather be where Utd are than where Livepool are, and where Liverpool will stay until they sack the clown in charge!

Can't argue with that Skippy. When the yanks are gone it can only get better for us.
