I am in an iva which I went into in 2017 and should fall out my credit rating by 2022 I’m hoping. Back in 2018 I made a full and final settlement payment due to a windfall. Once the iva has come off my credit report, would it be possible to buy a property on the shared ownership scheme? With a deposit after my iva has cleared? I am trying to plan what’s best for me and my partner. (He has no involvement in my iva).

Contact Ryan or Shaun our forum mortgage experts who will be better placed to confirm likekihood of a mortgage while the iva remains on your credit file.

It maybe you have to wait but depending on level of deposit you have they may know providers willing to help you gain the mortgage required.

As Luluj says -- have a word with Ryan and / or Shaun: Their details can be found under the "Team" quick link, top left. They are in yellow towards the bottom of the listing.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
