Well, I am off to Boys Brigade camp tomorrow evening for the weekend.

We are off to Oswestry with 10 lads age 8-14. [:)] It should be fun. I just hope the weather is ok, as the last 2 years we have had RAIN! [:(]

We are going on a steam train on saturday from Bala, which I am really looking forward to. [:D]

The weird thing is our Chief Executive at work also does Boys Brigade, so i get to spend the weekend with the big BOSS. We never talk about work though. [:)]
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

Hope you have a great time flow.

Have to say it's my idea of hell though!

Sure & Steadfast Flow!

Have a good one.
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

When daughter did Guides and they went on camp, I was so glad my leg was in plaster so I didn't have to volunteer to help!

It's a good job there are people around like flow13 to give youngsters the chance.

When son was in Scouts he camped about 2 miles away so we went in the evening for sing songs and burnt sausages. He was away for 10 days I think the scout leader underestimated how draining it would be because he was the only one who looked as if he had just run around the world twice, the kids were still hyper, very dirty but hyper.

I had a fractured ankle at the time daughter did Guide camp so it wasn't an option.

I've done very basic camps and hated them! Would not do it again.

Good luck to those who like it.

It's just not for me.

I've never been camping but I know that I would hate it - I left Brownies when they mentioned camping!

Have a good time Flow, although I have to say rather you than me!

I have done totally basic camping and absolutely hated it.

I've done slightly better camping and hated that as well!

Hi Flow13

I am a Boy's Brigade officer and love camp, sadly I am not able to go this year so I will miss out. Have a great weekend I hope the waether is good for you. Although saying that at the last week camp I went on it rained from the Saturday to Thursday and a girl started a tummy bug off which went right through the camp but we still had a great time. We go with the Girls Briade which makes life interesting.

We use to go caravaning when kids were small but as soon as son grew to tall we sold the van and never regreted it for a moment. I didnt like the whole thing and couldnt get my head around swapping my nice warm comfy home for 2 weeks living in a tin box,we must have been mad.
