Hi, My IVA was completed nearly a year ago and the other day I received 2 letters from creditors who were in the IVA saying I still owe them the debt. Can they do this, and what shall I do now? I can’t get in touch with the people I had my IVA with because their phone lines are closed. Can my creditors make me pay this and is it illegal for them to be chasing me for the debt and what shall I do? I’m worried they’ll send bailiffs to recover the debt

They cannot recover the debt if it was included in a previously successful IVA. Advise them of this and send photocopies of the proposal / chairman's report and completion certificate. If they persist complain to the financial ombudsman.

Who was your IVA with ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
