We made our last payment to our IVA in Dec 2017 and are waiting for our completion certificate. :D (It's with Aperature so not holding my breath!) Is it too early to apply for a credit card? Not sure if we have to wait for our actual certificate first. No intention of using it like before, but as a way of rebuilding our credit score. Thanks

You can try but do a soft search to see if you will be accepted first.

Technically, until you get that certificate, you are still in an IVA and bound by the agreement, so I doubt you will get one.

You might be able to get a card with Vanquis and/or Cash Plus. (Vanquis offered me a card 1-Year into my IVA!!!).

Providing you are sensible and re-pay in full each Month, using a credit card responsibly will, so I understand, assist you in improving your credit rating.

Good luck.
