My husband and I are 3 years into our IVA and are coping ok - no missed payments at all etc. I have been approached by a major organisation whom I have worked with over a number of years to become a director and set up a new department for them. Can I actually be a director whilst in an IVA?

Hi
Yes you can.
Will you be taking shares in the company or will the director status be a job title only ?

Yes you can act as a director of a limited company so long as the Articles of Association allow this. Best to get a copy from Companies House at an early stage, in order you need to have discussions with the existing board in advance. This provision can be changed, but only with a majority resolution.
