Can I change my name by Deed Poll in an IVA?

Hi I'm currently doing an IVA
Can I change my surname by deed poll while I'm still in an IVA,

I don't see why not, as long as you inform your IP.

I would think it is no difference than if you get married or divorced and revert to your maiden name.

Yes, I've seen before when people have changed their names following things like gender reassignment, and to escape violent ex partners etc.

On the other side, I've seen not so serious reasons like people changing their name to that of a super hero.

It won't be an issue but you'll most likely need to prove the name change by providing your deed poll docs etc to your IP.
