Hi, I was in an IVA that was completed in 2006. A company has recently found PPI dating back 1994 with NatWest. As NatWest was one of the original creditors in 2006 can I claim my PPI or will they try and stop any payment?
The creditor refunding the PPI might do one of several things: They could withold the refund to offset any debt. They could refuse to pay out until you have a letter from the former IP that they do not want the refund ( It does technically still belong to the IVA, even after completion). They could send it direct to the IP (leaving you with the delight of paying the claims company fees yourself) Or, rarely, they could just send the refund to the claims company who will deduct the fees and send the balance to you --- whwther you tell your former IP or not is up to you (although, again, technically, you should).

I doubt you can claim now as last week was the last time you were able to claim.

this could either be an already lodge claim, in which case it can proceed. Or it could be an imaginary carrot being dangled to elicit a claim, in which case, as Kallis says, it is now too late.
