Hello.
I’m currently in an IVA have been for 2 years. I am thinking about starting a degree on the open university. So I won’t have any maintenance loans etc just paying for the degree. Won’t have to pay anything back until I start earning over £22,000. As I have an IVA am I allowed to do this? Do I just have to inform them? I have an income so I am making my payment? Any information would be great. Thank you.

I don't see any reason why not - if you are not having a loan as such but you have to make sure you can make your payments.

Hi,

I was allowed to take out a student loan whilst on an IVA. The IP agreed as the loan wouldn't be payable until the IVA was over.

Good Luck
