Can my son pay for me a holiday whilst I am on an Iva? A gift not a loan

Yes, he can gift you a holiday. Make sure he pays for it direct, not by putting money into your bank account for you to pay it --- saves the IP having to worry about it.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
