cant buy and got turned down for renting

hi, we have 1 year to push and i look set to loose my job due to illnesss. The thing is we realy want to move to a cheaper area of england but cant buy and got turned down for renting due to our iva. please could you advise on the next step we take, many thanks rachael

If you are looking to rent it may be better to use a private landlord and not an agency. Private landlords are unlikely to have access to your credit file and may be happy with a reference from your current landlord.

You should also speak to your IP because if you cannot work due to illness it may be worth asking creditors to accept payments to date as full and final settlement rather than the IVA having to fail.
