My car broke and need a car for work
Anyway the thing is I got offered a older car 55 reg
Mine was a 07
So a guy who had recently bought a new car was getting rid of the 55 reg
So offered me to buy it for £200 and he would take my old car as px
He's a mechanic.
Anyway I phoned creditfix to tell them what I did
They then asked me for a receipt
Which I sent them
But im not sure why they need that
I have not taken on anymore credit
Any advice please.
I think I did the right thing keeping creditfix informed . :(

Your car might have been listed as an asset. Mine was an excluded asset and I changed several times during my IVA, but never informed my IP as the costs and insurance stayed roughly the same.

So do I need to inform them every time I change my car
I used my food money to pay for it and left me short for this month
So will struggle but I need a car for work what else can I do ?
Didn't want to go to moneybarn
As I don't want credit
Ip said I could get permission of them to get a car on finance.
But it's not for me.
Car I got drives and isn't anything special.
I'm trying to do the right thing.
Do you think I need to tell them in the future if I have to change my car.

Ask them if they are interested in future changes. You could, if the need arises again, ask for a payment break to fund emergencies like repairs etc.

Thanks foggy
I don't want any payment breaks
Just need to focus on completing my Iva.
Without disruptions
Would rather struggle than fall behind on payments.
Can't believe you gave me advice nearly 3 years ago foggy mate when I 1st started my Iva
Thanks mate
Keep up the good work you do on here :D

I chamged my car during IVA.
It wasnt listed as an asset as wasnt worth much (if had gone BR it wouldnt have been taken under those guidelines).
Anyway...changed car and got better deal on insurance so no change to
my outgoings...didnt tell them
as wasnt of interest.
If its not affected your outgoings and you could afford to buy it from saving your allowances then they shouldnt really need to be interested.
