Not even a week into my IVA and I`ve just got my first challenge. Car service, timing belt change and new tyre £650!!!
Beans on toast for a while, me thinks[:)]

And very healthy that is too!

In all seriousness, if you need to spend urgent monies on this annual expense and cannot afford your IVA payment speak to your IP who should be able to suspend your payment without affecting your IVA.

Thanks Tina, it`s OK I shall manage with some juggling...It`s like learning to swim, perhaps you`re better off being thrown in at the deep end.
Anyhow, to offset that, I got six pairs of `quality` socks for £2.50 today.

I agree with Tina that a delay in the payment might be in order so you're not struggling straight away.

Bargain with the socks![:D]

Seriously Kallis, I`ll be OK. It`s a good length of time `till my next IVA payment and I`ve dealt with the garage for years so I know I`ll be able to sort something out...I`m working my night off too this week, so that`ll help.
Just show`s you though, before I`d have just banged it on `the card`

hmm, must be the month for cars breaking down, ive just spent £193 on mine, and my daughter £160 on hers, but at least she now knows she has to put water in it !!!!! bless x
