Hi I am looking at completing a iva, I have work for a known bank in a call centre(credit card customer service based) how likely will my job sack me for going ahead with a iva?
I have been working with them for nearly 12 years, so scared at loosing my job- due to covid my hr are not taking telephone calls
Any advice would be much appreciated

Is there anything in your staff handbook ? You might be OK -- it is usually only cash handling staff they are wary of.

Thing is, if you are having difficulties with making payments, it isn't going to get better and an IVA is, in my eyes, better than being chased by creditors --- if you start collecting CCJs and the like your employer will not be happy either !

Have you looked into something like a debt management plan (DMP) ? https://www.stepchange.org/how-we-help/ ... -plan.aspx Not as drastic as an IVA, but an informal arrangement.
