Purchased a new sofa from Harvey’s
The credit was provided by creation finance.
Creation finance are part of my Iva.

The sofa has a rip and needs repairing.
It’s still under the Harvey’s guarantee.

Am I still able to ask Harvey’s to repair the sofa ?
And will they be aware I am in an Iva ?
Thanks in advance

They will be aware that you are in an IVA, how this will affect the guarantee I don't know.

I would imagine the guarantee still stands as you would still have the sofa whether or not you were in an IVA, and the guarantee is governed under consumer law which exists outside of the IVA.

I'm only guessing though, and am most certainly not a solicitor or an expert in the ins and outs of consumer law.
Hi! I used to work for one of the UK's biggest Insolvency Practitioners - I don't work for an IP anymore but still have an extensive knowledge of the IVA industry. How can I help?

We claimed during our iva on a sofa in similar circumstances without an issue.

Why would Harveys care, they've had the money from Creation.

They are the same family as Bensons for Beds. Don't know if they could help.

Will ring them anyway

Let us know - don't see why they won't honour it but of course Bensons is still trading.
