Hi we finished our iva in june 2018 and our credit report is showing up good with no default. We tried to get a new mortgage and salary and everything was fine but got declined on the credit report. When I asked y they said the iva was still in the background. Is there anything I can do about this because we really want to remortgage it has been over 6 years since the iva started thanks

Have you got your completion certificate?

Have you checked the insolvency register - are you still on there?

Sometimes it takes a few months for any defaults on your credit files to clear - have you checked all credit agencies for defaults registered?

If in doubt contact Ryan and or Shaun our forum mortgage brokers who will be able to advise further

Did you check all three credit reference agencies ? Sometimes one will show what the others do not.

You should do as Luluj suggests and have a chat with Ryan and / or Shaun, both of whom have a lot of experience of dealing with IVA speckled histories.

We'd be happy to look at your situation, we have access to High Street Lenders who will look to lend normally 6 years after an IVA began.

Regards
