Apologies if this is a duplicate.
A quick query regarding my credit report, I have been in an IVA for just over 3 years, in this time I have been switched company twice. I have noticed via my credit report that no payments have been made to my creditors since I was first switched (2 years ago) I wasn't too concerned with this as I was still sticking to my end so to speak. However, I now have a new debt on my file but with a default date corresponding with my iva start date, presumably its a debt that has been sold on. Should I worry as this company are not listed on my IVA?
Thank you

In most cases IVA dividends do not appear on credit files as the creditors generally account for them differently. Even annual statements, where they do not get supressed, do not show them and the balance never seems to reduce.
With regard to the default, I would check with your IP as to whether he recognises the 'new' creditor ( and is now paying the right one), but, yes, it is probably where a debt has been sold on.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
