Hi. I’m new to this and really worried. Had a creditors meeting yesterday and contacted credit fix late afternoon who said meeting has been adjourned and received an email this morning to confirm it’s been adjourned until 30/8 and I would receive information in the post about it. I haven’t been told why it’s been adjourned and they are now closed until Tuesday. Is it likely that the proposal has been rejected?

This seems to happen a lot with CF. They should let you know why. No idea whether or not it has been rejected or they need to get more votes in. I'd be on the phone Tuesday and demand an answer.

Thanks for that. So nervous over it all. I’m working all day Tuesday so will phone Wednesday. I phoned them 2 hours after the meeting and they said the meeting was still ongoing but heard nothing until I got the email this morning. I’ll try and relax a bit if it’s normal for them to not communicate efficiently

Thank you kallis. I’ve got everything crossed. Will be such a huge relief if it gets approved as my eldest is off to university in 3 weeks and I could use some money from some of the allowances to help her where I can. I’ll try and forget it all for now. Thank you for replying

CF are renowned for having meetings adjourned and often come up with different reasons according to who you are talking to --- often they are arguing over their fees, which are one of the higher ones out there. However, they do, more often than not, come through in the end. But communication is not their strong point by any means.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Thank you both lots. I do feel a bit better knowing that it’s normal for them so I’ll now go and enjoy the sun with my boys :) and hopefully they can explain things to me on Wednesday
