Creditors meeting tomorrow. 2.30! Absolutely terrified. Worried sick. Currently going through a divorce. Had to move house and now renting. They have warned me I may have to change my car and get a cheaper one. Ita only a little fiesta. Keeping everything crossed! Don't think I could cope of its refused. I dont know what I would do.

So.....they have called me. They need littlewoods to change their mind. They are saying I have made purchases in the past 3 months. But they are going to argue the face that they are essential items. A set of drawers and curtains and some clothing bits for myself and son. Also will have to sell my car and but I for 3000 pound.

So now just waiting on littlewoods. Had a meltdown. Heads a shed.

Feel slightly reassured that they could do A dMP for me and I can change that at anytime and maybe apply for another iva in a couple of years.

So another stressful night ahead. Cried till I can't cry anymore.

I am so sorry - hopefully it can get sorted. I can appreciate how you are feeling. A DMP might be an idea and make sure no purchases are made on Littlewoods in the meantime. What is your car worth?

They have adjourned the meeting for a week. How on earth do I get through another week? And what will be different in a week?
I haven't spent on littlewoods since I realised my position and contacted iva people.

It 3 year old fiesta. 8000. I can cope with downgrading that but I don't know why they are even bothering putting it off a week. They are only going to say no.

How much debt do you actually owe ? What is your proposed monthly payment ? Do you have any other assets, apart from the car ? And, finally, what line of work are you in ?

Hmmm ... borderline on debt amount for a DRO (from 29th June) and disposable income might be too high (over £75). But, you could consider bankruptcy, or, at least make it a serious threat to creditors if they continue to refuse the IVA --- I am sure your IP can press this point. They will get far less in BR than from the IVA !

Re car - £3000 is a good sum to get a run around but don't do it yet until you get the answer re Littlewoods ...

Fingers crossed it can be sorted in the next week ...IPs often are able to present things in different ways that impacts on outcome.

I hope so. I've also emailed them. As tomorrow I start my counselling assessment with the local mental health team as this is all starting to have an effect.
