I started the process for an IVA using CF, everyone had been so helpful till today. My creditors meeting was yesterday lunchtime ish, by 5pm today I still hadn’t heard anything even though the email before the creditor meeting said someone would call on the day. So at 5pm
Today I decided to call them for an update, well literally only on the phone 5 mins including being past to two different people. I was told one of my creditors (one of the biggest) had asked for CF to reduce their rates. They said they can’t do that as fixed (which I understand) so the creditors has asked I use Logan Whyte then they will accept. Well that’s all I literally know as the woman couldn’t get me off the phone quick enough, when I asked about the payment she said I’ll stop those then I asked about the payment already made she literally ask for my account number and sort code then said bye! She’s said someone MIGHT call me and that my details will be sent over to this other company. I’m so confused and feel I’ve literally been dumped. I don’t understand why they didn’t negotiate my payments as I may of been able to managed to pay a little more each more with budging. I also have no clue what the other creditors said. I also googled this Logan Whyte and can’t find hardly any information on them, no number nothing. I plan to call CF on Tuesday my next day off to try and get more info. Can anyone advise about Logan Whyte?
Unfortunately CF are one of the most expensive firms around and this has happened before, where CF then transferred the client to another firm ( which, I believe, had ties to CF anyway). Unfortunately I cannot recall which firm this was.
Whenever there is a glitch with this firm, we always see several 'versions of the truth' and rarely discover which, if any, actually is the true version !
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
I only dip into the forum very now again these days, but retain a strong interest in the support that everyone provides.
Foggy can comment more on the CF/Ebegegate relationship but the logan-whyte.co.uk website states "... .That's why we work in partnership with Ebenegate, a Mauritius based global managed service company, ...".

There are close connections between Creditfix, the largest IVA firm and Ebenegate. Finbora Group Limited, previously known as Creditfix Holdings Limited, bought Ebene Gate Mauritius in 2018-19. Creditfix and Ebenegate share some personnel. This weekend, the Ebenegate phone number on the Vanguard website was answered by a Creditfix employee, who knew nothing about Vanguard IVAs.
Here is a recent comment on an IVA forum:
I have been in an IVA for a year now and found it very stressful and taken a toll on my mental health (which I am in the process of sorting) I have been speaking to my mum and step dad and they have said they are willing to pay a F&F so I can start fresh, I have been trying to contact them for weeks now emails and phone calls and no response ( Was vanguard now ebengate) I don’t know what I’m meant to do as I can’t get through to anyone any help would be much appreciated.
It remains to be seen how well outsourcing administration to a different time-zone will work for people with Vanguard IVAs.

IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Would you consider if safe to go with this new company as I’m so desperate to get this IVA accepted. Also would I be starting the whole process again and have to wait for another creditors meeting. Or will it just carry on from what CF have done.
Personally I wouldn't proceed with this firm, nothing I have read about this sounds healthy.
You have all the paperwork and details to hand, so it shouldn't take a new firm long to get up to speed. You will have to wait for a new creditors meeting, but do not let the need for speed you are feeling make you enter an arrangement that could well be problematic in the long run.

Would CF not be able to get the creditor to accept if I paid say another £20-30 instead of them reducing their fee as surely that would be the same sort of money.
They may question why you are suddenly able to find extra money and they may not be happy at still having to pay CF those fees.

I know it's very easy to think that because you've got so far with CF, you want to make an extra effort to get over the line with them but you really should listen to Foggy.
Thank you, just so need this sorted I honestly don’t think I can take much more, I actually felt hope again and now I’m right back where it started just with out the energy to start again.
Any ideas where to start to find another company who are reliable? How do I get the details from credit fix?
Search the forum to see what others have said about firms. We are not allowed to recommend specific ones but the smaller ones are better and more personal.
If you want your original details back from CF you can ask them to forward them to you by email or send them through the post.
