My daughter is having a dreadful struggle making the payments on a bank loan. She has had it for some years and is now paying off the interest. She was recently taken for a ride by a so called government debt agency which turned out to be a scam so I would be grateful if you could tell me if you can help her.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Sorry your daughter is having such problems.

Can you give us a little more information? Who is this company that you are talking about.

We can advise further if you give us some more details as to what has happened.

Your daughter can contact IP firms for some free advice concerning her debts. If she was scammed it may be worth notifying trading standards but as Jan says it would help if you could give us a little more information.

Welcome to the forum from myself too. We're all here to help and if you would like to talk to a professional why not take a look at www.iva.com I would recommend your daughter contact 2 or 3 companies and all debt solutions will be discussed and hopefully get her on the road to debt freedom. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Does she just have the one debt she is struggling with, or are there more?
