just went to chester zoo we used vouchers from the internet (never done this before)
took a packed lunch and drinks
when we got to the entrance the person in front of me said to her partner "which card should i use " been there done that ,how good did it feel to pay cash and not have to worry how i was going to pay for it
we have decided any spare money we will find the best value day out and use vouchers when we can
how much did i enjoy a day out even though the weather was rubbish

It's a learning curve isn't it bobby1969? Shame the weather wasn't kind to you, been lovely here [8D]..how long it will last is another thing!

Good idea to search for vouchers as there's always offers on with days out. Never been to Chester zoo myself, went to Bristol Zoo recently and had a great day [:)]

I did Chester zoo with my Grand Daughter last week, help from family helped. We both had a fantastic day, despite all the rain, glad you had a great day as well :)

Good for you boddy1969, does'nt it just feel great to use the cash.
The vouchers are a brilliant idea and I constantly look on myvochers.com, to see what I can download and then print them off at work.

As we have only just started our IVA, I am trying all different ways of budgeting. Only got a cashminder co-op account now, but next month, I am going to try and withdraw our monthly allowance and divide the cash between 4 weeks and not use the cashcard at all. Has anyone else tried this idea. I thought it might be easier to budget that way??

I've not done that Sam. We pretty much know what we spend week to week so just take cash out with us.

I take a set amount out each week and when it's gone it's gone!

So pleased you enjoyed your day at the zoo. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I am the same as Lesley, I get £50 out of the bank every Sunday for the weekly shopping if we run out we do without, most weeks we have some spare and it is put away into an envelope for a treat.

Never really used vouchers, where would I find ones for Bristol Zoo as I would love to go there again.

Keep looking on sites like vouchercodes.co.uk Pandy. I took my eldest grandaughter to Bristol Zoo in July, we had a fab day.
