My husband entered into an iva in March 2012, 5yrs plus 1 more so 6 in total. Originally with grant Thornton then moved to Aperture. They've taken over a Yr to send completion confirmation so my husband has been on the insolvency register for a year longer than he should have been (still waiting to come off) I emailed the insolvency register advising he should have been removed last Yr which I got a reply to, and they stated a completely different date of entering the iva. I've sent evidence to the insolvency register as proof of the date and when it should gave come off yet still awaiting a reply(they replied very quickly to the first email) Aperture also owe a refund of overpayments made, which they say they are in the process of but say its my husbands fault due to not cancelling the standing order, and while I agree he could have cancelled it, he was waiting on confirmation of the last payment date. They really are the worst in customer service and I'd like to know where we stand on making a complaint and who we complain to. Emails get disregarded/not responded to other than automated replies. Many thanks
You should lodge a formal complaint with Aperture themselves and, if they do not provide a satisfactory answer (or, indeed, do not answer) you can escalate a complaint to their regulatory body via the Government Gateway here: https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-insol ... actitioner
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
