I would guess it would be the month the payment relates to as the reason for the payment --- as most times these "extra payments" that go through the portal, rather than the regular DD or SO payment, would be in respect of additional income, or a windfall.

I would think that would be OK. Have they confirmed that it is payable ?

Hi Foggy yes as i'm doing a variation and I had added the rebate to the lump sum that I have proposed but they said because its a windfall it should have been paid immediately despite me ringing them and telling them about it about 5 weeks ago ,back then they said just hang onto it until we do the variation now saying it should have been paid straight away ,so now ive paid it but it didnt look like it had gone through as got no receipt or confirmation as they said I would so sent it again and the same thing happened so I may have paid it twice now or not at all and they won't know for 10 days having a bad day lol

They have described it as a windfall ???

Under £500 windfalls are not usually captured by an IVA, assuming there are the usual windfall clauses.

They did say you could knock it off the lump sum offer but it should be paid into the IVA portal today ,but because I want the lump sum to be as much as possible I said I'd pay that as extra because by the time they need the money I will have what I proposed in the variation

It's important to understand that IVA is not fixed. It is more than possible for them to go up during your arrangement. But still better to ask for debt advice when it comes to payment especially if you are confused or your not sure. There are times I have the same situation as you do.

Let us know how you get on Norman and how the variation goes.

Aperture are renowned for being the company that takes the full 6 months to issue completion documents ---- this, I imagine, will be made worse by the current situation. I would suggest dropping them a line asking for a sit-rep.

Statements, often with pretty much meanlingless figures do pop up from time to time, usually when the creditor forgets to supress them on the system.
