I have recently completed my 2nd annual review and after last year's fiasco (discussed on this forum last year) Debt Free Direct (DFD) have done it again... only worse. This year, after completing the review I received by post the summary of my review only to find it was the review of another person living in my street. I now have all of their financial information.! contacted DFD and made them aware of this gross error and enquired as to the the whereabouts of my own report (I presumed it was in the hands of somebody else). I was given the brush-off about this, so I told them I was going to contact the other person directly to see if they had my report. I then received a letter from DFD's solicitors which, in no uncertain terms, accused me of causing trouble and to cease and decist!

Do I have any course of redress against this incompetent company?

Hi,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems again with DFD.

We do have a member of DFD who posts on here. Hopefully he will pick up on this and help you out.

thats just amazing they cock it up and then threaten you to keep quite?
if my stuff ended up like this, its they who would be getting a soliciters letter about a breach of trust and not doing there job for which you are paying.
that has got to be one of the worst attitudes towards a customer i have ever seen.
cc received 6th January 2014 now upwards and onwards

That is shocking. If I did that in my job I would probably lose it!

Hi
DFD are the largest IVA company in the country so are bound to have some problems. It is important to appreciate that although your case sounds a real nightmare it is very rare that such mistakes are made.
Hopefully Declan can take up your case and get it resolved
Regards
Andam Davies

Declan will do his utmost to sort it, human error happens and especially when things are hectic, no excuse I do understand but we're all under pressure at times.

I can understand your anger as I'm sure I would be too but leave it with Declan and hopefully things will be resolved amicably. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thats really not on I understand people make mistakes but IVAs are advertised as being private (apart from the register) thats not very private for that person in your street or for you if yours has gone to the wrong recipient
Iva completed

Hi All
This is an ongoing matter that we are currently dealing with and have already provided a full apology to the client for our mistake. I should like to clarify that the ongoing correspondence does not make reference to nor imply that the client has “caused trouble” or to “cease and desist"

Thanks
