Hey,

I paid an early settlement figure which was accepted on my IVA in December.

It should, be cleared in Feb 2023 from my credit file

I have however noticed that on my credit score, I have 8 defaults from creditors. All of which where dated from when Mccambridge Duffy took over my debts.

I had never defaulted on any payments prior to going into an IVA.

My question is, is there a possibility to get these removed from my credit score as defaults? As I wasn't the one that defaulted on the payments, and the IVA company had taken control of the accounts by this point.

Or will I just be told that I will have to wait for the 6 year mark for them to drop of my credit score?

Thanks in advance

Casey

McCD did not 'take over' control of the debts -- they merely supervised the arrangement. The debts remained yours and you failed to make the contractual payments and entered into an insolvency solution --- this caused the debts to go into default and the defaults were correctly registered as the date of the start of the IVA. They will remain on file for 6 years. This is standard in all IVAs with all providers.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
