Delaying an inheritance

Is it an offence for someone to ask for a delay to inheritance until it's is finished

If you become aware of an inheritance during an IVA then I'm afraid it will be due to the IVA.

The operative date in an inheritance case, from the IVA perspective, is the date of death, not the date you get the inheritance. So, no, it cannot be delayed.

If the death has not yet happened there is nothing stopping you asking for the will to be changed to have you removed from it and a family member "look after" your share until after the iva has concluded, should the death occur whilst the iva is active
