Hi

Ive been on my husband and I have seperate IVAs for 3 years (same income and expenditure is used)
My son has has been on disability £337 since April due to his autistic needs and I have today been accepted for PIP for my own disability today £337 does this get taken into account , will my payments go higher or do they just take it away each month , Im a little confused.

Many Thanks in advance

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in the reply. Your disability and PIP will be counted as income but can usually be offset against anything you need for your family. Just inform your IP.

It will depend on the stance your IP takes. Many will offset the whole PIP income with the expenses it is supposed to cover, others will offset some of these but not all. The chances are that some of it at least will be used to increase your IVA payment.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
