I am afraid that the option to cancel, although still there, is not advised --- you are halfway through .... cancelling now will lose you everything you have paid so far as well as three years -- and there is no guarantee that creditors will be so willing second time around. You could find yourself deeper in trouble.

What issued are you experiencing ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Which company are you with? This is not good advice.

Have they always been bad or only recently?

I've been with SC for nearly 5 years, they've been fine but since covid everything has slowed down in terms of getting responses - but I assume they're possibly running on skelton staff (or were once it hit) or just extremely busy because of the times (my IP has apologised with this).

But I'll give them their due, calling them up there's never been any long waits (just my IP that is swamped!)

If you cancel, you will be worse off.

What is it you are trying to communicate that is receiving little, no response? Can you choose a different way to communicate maybe - send a letter registered post so you have a clear confirmation that query has been received.
Send emails using a read receipt tracker and retain all emails as your evidence of communicating.

As foggy says you are half way through, persevere now, as the end is in sight and getting closer.
