Well after the longest wait ever my divorce has being finalised and typically the Decree Absolute came through on a Saturday Morning and I was in 2 minds if I could stomach Champagne at 10am........

I held out till 11am and thought it's close enough to my 12 o'clock rule haha. So I popped it and drank the lot with my mate in short order, then my sister showed up to celebrate while I was drinking coffee to try and sober up and insisted I open a bottle of my homemade wine, by 1.30pm I was asleep on the sofa hahahaha!!!

It seems strange to say congratulations on your divorce, but as you seem so happy I'll say it!

Congratulations and good luck for the future x

Haha thanks Skippy. It is odd yes but when it's something you want badly it's something to celebrate.

The bad marriage is a BIG part of why I'm in an IVA, I should write a book about my experiences lol it'd be a great read!

Congratulations on the divorce - put it all behind you now.

Good luck for the future.

Yeah it is odd, but what she put me through makes it something worth celebrating to see that my association with her is totally ended. All my family and friends want me to have a party haha.

Haha well she is the reason I'm on this forum getting me to buy stuff on credit, getting a loan for business that she ran into the ground and the cost of the wedding for a marriage that lasted 5 weeks, yes 5 weeks haha.

Makes me laugh now when I think about it, but no regrets, it's made me the person I am today and I'm damn proud of who I am and am very happy [:D]

I went through a painful divorce and have to say even though I was the innocent party, I never felt like celebrating.

Each to their own...[:)]

That was a short marriage!

I'm glad you are so positive and happy. Long may it continue.

Don't get me wrong there was a period on the day of contemplation and regret at what happened (Think everyone must go thru that) but overall feeling of relief.
