I was with debt free direct, until they passed it on to another company. I spoke with the new company who told me my final payment was in February 2019. I have now paid my final payment but my phone was damaged and lost all my numbers and I cant remember the name of the company. They said something about maybe wanting another 12 months payment or part of my mortgage. im frustrated as I haven't heard anything since I spoke to them, and want to know if I can cancel my direct debit to them

My IVA company is same as direct debit so would check that first for company name.

Hi Vince, my direct debit still says debt free direct. By reading some other posts I think the name of the company is Aperture.

Hi David,
Just done a quick google search and your right Debt Free Direct was sold on to Aperture.
Their number is 0333 939 7920, but call early and be prepared to wait a little... Hope it helps

It will be Aperture. If you haven't had equity addressed yet there may well be some more to pay in, either by way of equity release or a further 12 months payments.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Thank you. My iva was over 6 years so i would have thought that they would have been in touch before my final 6 year payment had finished, to let me know the next stages of process and how to proceed. Do I keep my payments running as normal? Do I need to get a house value done? !!!!!!.

I personally would not cancel any direct debit until it is confirmed by Aperture in writing no further payments.
However long it takes, you need to talk to them to establish any equity matters. It is your responsibility to ensure the terms of your iva are met, so please don't rely on Aperture contacting you.

You need to get on their backs as this should have been dealt with a while ago. Personally I would be emailing my IP direct and complaining, with a view to escalating the complaint to their regulatory body via the Government Gateway here: https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-insol ... actitioner
