Hi.

I have previously had an IVA which was discharged over 6 years ago.

I have now been offered a job in the Ministry of Justice and am unsure if I need to declare it. I think that it is no longer on my credit report and I am no longer considered insolvent but wanted to double check as I don’t want to do anything wrong.

I have built my credit score back up and now have a good score

Many thanks

If you are asked if you have ever been in an IVA should answer yes. If asked if you are in an IVA you can answer no.

The devil, as Kallis suggests, is in the detail --- the wording of the question:

Have you ever ..... Yes
Are you in ..... No
Have you entered into in the last 6 years ..... No
Have you been in during the last 6 years .... No

Best of luck with the application .
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
