I completed my iva in 2015 and have the completion certificate. I have received a refund cheque from provident for loans taken out whilst in my iva. Do I have to send the iva company the money? I think it was them that claimed for it as I have no information on this but have not received anything from the iva company

PPI refunds still belong to the former creditors as things currently stand. uch will depend on your IP and what his stance is .... sometimes it is just uneconomical to dig out old records and re-contact former creditors for a distribution, in which case your IP should let you have the refund. A few (rare few!) are simply not interested in PPI after the IVA has finished, and at least one doesn't even want it during the IVA ( though that might, one day, come back to bite them).
To avoid any potential surprises it is wise to run it by your IP.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
