IVA completed Nov 2017, completion certificate arrived Sept 2018. Ppi dealt with during iva and authority to pursue and include any post via realizations. Now received new request for authority from a new company. First Dispute Management Limited on behalf of Aperture. I am happy for Aperture to use my existing signed authorities from the IVA but I don't want to sign over any further irrevocable and wide reaching authorities. What are my rights...do I have to sign this?

This is all uncharted territory and no-one knows what 'rights' the former IP has to open new investigations, or what obligation you have to agree. Also in question is what leverage the IP could apply.

I have received my FDM letter and, having merely skimmed it over for now, I am not averse to them trying to claim whatever PPI and the like there might still be, however, I am averse to giving an unknown third party 'indefinite' authorisation to dabble in my financial affairs. Their interest should be limited to assets or potential assets of the IVA -- i.e Those that existed prior to my date of completion. And their searches and access to information should be confined to accounts and information prior to this date. FDM's conditions are, as I see it, far too wide reaching and invasive.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Iv'e received one to sign but basically there is no time limited on it and it says its not for a limited period and will remain in force until withdrawn by them would it be wise to take legal advise ?

I have amended mine to limit their authorisation to view details only available prior to my IVA end date .... don't know, yet, how they will react to that.

I spoke to them today and asked why it says there is no time limited and he just said something like ,it just saves coming back to you every six months and hounding you ,I said by law do I have no do this and he said no ,and I said what will happen if I don't and he said probably nothing so I just said I was going to take advise ,he said give us a ring back when you have done that ,I wish someone knew what happens for sure if you refuse to sign it .
