I am entering into an IVA with Creditfix, should I be making payments if I can until the Iva is all set up. Or do I call them with Iva number and they put my account on hold

Some continue with payments, which is a bit of a waste, some make token payments, also a waste. Many cease payments when they have made a firm choice to go with an IVA and build up a small contingency fund on the side (which will be needed).

I would remove my phone number from any accounts with online access and wait for creditors to contact you --- some will, some won't. If they do just tell them about the IVA ( you won't have an IVA number at this stage and many collections teams do not even know what an IVA is !!).

If you wish, you can contact them in advance --- they will possibly try to talk you out of it, but some might be helpful and freeze the account for 30 days or so. At least that way you can contact them on your own terms, rather than being sprung on from out of the blue.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I agree with Foggy - We never made any, ignored phone calls and letters. If your bank is a creditor you should open a new account and avoid HSBC and First Direct as they are ant IVA.
