I am currently in an IVA which was approved 27/11/18. The bank I was with (Halifax) has done a letter saying my loan has gone to collections. Would they not have been informed of my IVA? I want aware I needed to contact them

It's early days and the right hand doesn't yet know what the left hand is doing --- it often takes a few months for news of an IVA to filter through all departments.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

As Foggy says, information takes time to get round to all the departments in big organisations like Banks. I wouldn't bother yourself with either contacting or worrying about their shortcomings. You are covered by the IVA so even if they send letters out you can just ship them off to your IVA company with a covering letter and let them deal with it.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues
