When you apply for an IVA, if you already know all of your creditors do the IVA companies do a credit check? I know that most do an identity check, what kind of information do they recieve in an ID check?
An ID check is simply to find out if you are who you say you are. You will need to give them details of all of your creditors and they will check that out. They don't do a credit check as such, they already know you are insolvent.

Yes, some do a check which includes your identity, for anti money laundering purposes, and your creditors details so that they have an accurate list of your debts. It should be a soft search and if you ask them I'm sure they would send you a copy of whatever they get.
Some might credit check and / or ID check. For an ID check they like to see some photo ID (passport, driving licence) and evidence of address (council tax bill, official letter etc.).
A credit check on what you owe to who is basically futile for the purposes of listing all your creditors, as only those that report to the credit reference agency being used will show up.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
