I have an IVA and my husband may now have to apply for one for himself as we cannot cope. Do we need to go to my IVA agent or does he do his independently? I have had my IVA for 9 months

No - he can use a different company if he wishes.

No, but it could potentially be easier if he does as it would just be the one IP to deal with, they'll already know your circumstances etc, joint and several liabilities will be easier to manage, and so on.

But no, no obligation to use the same company.
