I have an IVA that began August 2013 .... it should of finished last August but I had missed some payments due to being out of work (4 payments) and they reduced my payment to a lower amount so I could afford it.... I’m a bit confused as they extended it by18montgs but that means I will paying up to December 2019 ... what happens in August? Will my debts be taken off my credit file then or not until December. ??

No, your debts won't be wiped off until you have completed and have that completion letter.

Nothing to be confused about -- debt-wise everything stays the same as now, until you have completeed the IVA and your completion certificate has been issued.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
