Hello everyone. Been in our IVA now three months & all is well.
However, I can see a problem on the horizon. Our fridge freezer is rapidly failing & is beyond repair. Looks as though a new one will soon become a necessity. At present I am earning overtime so I am paying 50% of this into the IVA. Would it be possible to keep some of this towards a new fridge freezer. Even if I paid half from my overtime money & half from the offset amount. Any advice welcome.
I suspect that your IP will be expecting you to fund this from your share of the overtime before dipping into creditors - but best to ask them directly as their decision may be different to that I would make.
Not sure if this is of any help what-so-ever, so please ignore if not, my intentions are to help![:)] but have you looked at your local 'Freecycle' I know on my local group people have given away really good (and sometimes almost new) Fridges/Freezers, you might get lucky and get a 'new' one for free! i have never used freecycle but a friend of mine has just had a literally brand new cooker through freecycle. The lady had replaced the cooker and then decided to change the kitchen.
